Caleb Williams 4 TDs Propel Bears to 31-14 Victory Over Cowboys

CHICAGO — Caleb Williams tied a career high with four touchdown passes, leading the Chicago Bears to a 31-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The win also marked Ben Johnson’s first victory as the Bears’ head coach after two early-season losses.

Williams delivered an impressive performance, completing 19 of 28 passes for 298 yards and a quarterback rating of 142.6. Rookie Luther Burden caught his first career touchdown on a 65-yard flea-flicker in the first quarter, finishing with 101 yards on three receptions. Rome Odunze added a 62-yard touchdown reception, his fourth of the season. Cole Kmet and DJ Moore also contributed with TD catches, including a 19-play, 9:54 drive that culminated in Moore’s four-yard touchdown.

“It’s awesome,” Williams said after the game. “The trust, belief, and hard work together for our team and our organization means a lot. Moments like this are important for everyone involved.”

Defensive Highlights and Key Plays

The Bears’ defense shined as well. Tremaine Edmunds recorded two of Chicago’s three interceptions, helping the team secure its 799th regular-season victory. Brandon Aubrey kicked two field goals, including a 53-yarder, breaking Dan Bailey’s franchise record for field goals over 50 yards.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys struggled to find rhythm offensively. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 31 of 40 passes for 251 yards but threw two interceptions. Star receiver CeeDee Lamb left with a sprained ankle and was ruled out for the second half.

Injuries and Next Matchups

Cowboys injuries: CeeDee Lamb (ankle), Trevon Diggs (shoulder), Kenny Clark (ankle)

Bears injuries: Colston Loveland (hip), Kyler Gordon (hamstring), T.J. Edwards (hamstring)

The Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers next Sunday, while the Bears travel to Las Vegas for their next matchup.
