Authorities identified the Delta State University student who died on campus early Monday morning. The victim was Demartravion “Trey” Reed, 21, a student from Grenada, Mississippi.

According to Mike Peeler, Delta State’s Director of Public Safety, university police received a call around 7:05 a.m. about a male student found near the pickleball courts at the central campus. Officers responded immediately and discovered Reed deceased.
Peeler confirmed that Reed’s family had been notified. He also clarified that investigators found no evidence of foul play connected to the death. The Bolivar County Coroner’s Office took custody of Reed’s body.
