The first teaser trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu has finally arrived. Fans now have their first look at Din Djarin and Grogu’s next journey. The film will open exclusively in theaters on May 22, 2026, and promises a new chapter in the Star Wars saga.
The story begins after the fall of the Empire. Imperial warlords remain scattered across the galaxy, while the New Republic fights to protect what the Rebellion achieved. To strengthen their defense, the Republic calls on Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), the famed Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his apprentice Grogu.
This clan of two takes center stage. The trailer shows a brand-new Razor Crest, Grogu working with Anzellan friends, and the return of Zeb Orrelios. A poster also teases Sigourney Weaver’s new character and a pair of Hutts, hinting at major conflicts ahead.
The action scenes stand out. Din and Grogu face Imperial remnant AT-ATs, battle in gladiator-style arenas, and confront larger-than-life Dejarik creatures. In one shot, a massive Hutt looms in silhouette, setting the stage for high-stakes drama.
Jon Favreau directs and also produces the film with Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Composer Ludwig Göransson returns to score, bringing back the familiar Mandalorian sound fans love.
For Star Wars fans, this teaser highlights action, family bonds, and bold storytelling. Din Djarin and Grogu are ready for their most thrilling mission yet, making this film one of 2026’s most anticipated releases.
